Quinta da Salgueirinha is not an industrial operation. We have around 220 olive trees in Possacos — not a reservoir you can refill on demand.
We harvest deliberately late, from late December to early January. That gives the oil depth and character, but also means less volume. Olives that fall before harvest are not used. What is not good enough does not go into our oil.
Then come weather, ripeness and what the grove gives each year. Some years bring more, others less. We force nothing.
That is why the 2025/26 harvest is available only in limited quantity — in 1-litre bottles and 5-litre containers. Every request is confirmed personally. When the oil is gone, it is gone. Not as a marketing trick, but because that is the reality.
